The Association welcomes members from all disciplines.  Businesses and individual professional memberships are available to those who are actively involved on a professional level in the community built process an who ascribe to our mission.  Students are encouraged to begin building their professional network through a reduced membership fee, and associate membership is open to all other interested parties.  Al members receive a free listing on our Web site, semi-annual newsletters, and discounts on Community Built Association conferences and workshops.

Types of Membership:
______Business:  $100.  This membership also includes a professional listing on the Web site for the principal or other designated representative of the business.
 
______Professional:  $40.  Anyone actively engaged, at least part-time, on a professional level in community built work.
 
______Student:  $25.   Students interested in pursuing or just wanting to learn about careers in the community built process.  This could include students of art, architecture, urban design and planning, or landscape but is inclusive of a wide range of disciplines.  Please provide a copy of your student ID with your membership form.
 
______Associate:  $25.  Any interested party who wants to support the community built process.

Mission Statement
 
The following mission statement for CBA was adopted 28, July 1991, and revised 13 February 1995.  By signing this application you are stating your agreement with this mission.

The Community Built Association's goal is to further the theory and practice of involving volunteers in the design, organization and creation of community projects that reshape the physical environment.  We recognize the human need for connectedness and are committed to the positive value of communities creating and strengthening themselves through cultural action.
 
The CBA promotes the further development of the community built practice, placing equal value on high quality and the broad involvement of community volunteers. 
 
The CBA affirms diverse backgrounds as essential to the richness of our common life and dedicates itself to promoting inclusiveness in our association, our work and in the communities we serve.
